Lucky, I live in Orlando so I can go anytime I want :D. And the tube were do gi thru the tank of dolphins was a major fail if you ask me, I waited 3 hours to ride it and it's only like a 10 sec ride and you go thru the tank at the last second... but, over all I love the park.

Yeah, they put the commies in the park not because they are a special and unique species of dolphin, but because they look like SHAMU. *sigh*

I mean, they look happy, but I can see how that slide might stress them out if the people are screaming.

Yea, I completely agree with you.

If the park is going to keep the animals at all, they should be away from the massive crowds of screeching families, in a more secluded and calm area, made to look more like their natural habitat. And I think its sad that they would "use" the commies only because they look like orcas, when they are a special species themselves!

The ride with the dolphins is sooo cool, if you have a fear of dolphins or sharks or anything, no need to worry because they are only babies! They wont bite! I have a huge fear of Sharks and things like that but they r soooo cute, i had my eyes closed but when i could see the sunlight i opened my eyes and a dolphin was there staring at me but i didnt scream at all because they r soooooo cute!

Mmm... another theme park exploiting animals to make money? Not a surprise. Aquatica does not even need dolphins to draw in crowds. Using the animals as an attraction is pretty pathetic. Dolphins, which are highly intelligent creatures, do poorly in captivity and deserve better than living in a concrete tank to entertain people. Having screaming crowds of people surrounding them all day is just going to cause a lot of stress and hardship for them, I would presume.

i dont totally agree with having a water slide go through a dolphin tank, but they do seem happy there. i doubt aquatica is actually using the dolphins to draw crowds, but rather giving visitors more insight on them
though i do wonder if the dolphins can hear the screaming people. they probably made it soundproof though (i hope)

We were not able to hear any screams coming from that tube while we were there. SeaWorld staff was regularly on-hand to feed and tend to the dolphins as well. There are several viewing locations for the dolphins, so they're there for more than just the spectacle of sliding through the tank. There's a dry viewing area for people who want to watch them as well as a wet viewing area for those who want to float by on their rafts. You can see both in this video.

But you do have to remember that dolphins have very acute senses, beyond that of our own - especially in the hearing department. Plus, does the park really need dolphins to make it an enjoyable place? No.. it would be best in the animals interest if they were taken to a place more specailized and focused on the care of marine animals. Everyone, including myself, would like to assume the animals are happy in these parks - but when you research, its quite shocking...

Such a beautiful park. I was there on Saturday for the opening, just loved it! Smaller than most of Orlando's waterparks, but so clean and well designed! Busch Entertainment really knows their stuff.

The dolphin plunge is pretty intense, but you're going so fast that you don't really see the dolphins. It was an amazing park with really good rides either way. I loved it.

You may say that they get all the mental stimulation they need but what about at night. They switch the whales at least once per month. They come from Discovery Cove and back. So it will be a good thing for them. Plus some of them were born in Discovery Cove. So they spent their childhood ages there. Then when they grow so big, they will release them to the oceans (if they're ready) so don't worry about it. Sea World would never let them stay alone. They take them to another tank for night. The baby whales love it there!

I cannot recommend this park. It's way undersized for the amount of people who show up on a sunny day. (We went on a Thursday, and they had to close the entrance at noon.) Nothing but crowds and long waits. Avoid it.

well hmm lets see.. a brand new park opened up.. ppl want to go see and enjoy it. its not the parks fault the hordes of ppl decided to come. as a guard there, personally i prefer the crowds, more guest interaction for me plus im one of the fastest dispatchers i have yet to get a complaint from anyone about lines. also its hot as hell out what did you expect? next time think before you bash, nub. trust me with the crowds we are getting im sure an expansion will be in the future but dont quote me.

I dont care what any one says but this park is fun!!!! i have season passes so my wife and i are going mostly every weekend and I have yet to get tired of this park. By the way get there early because when the parking lot is full they will close the entrance.Also i would like to add that the park does not get over crowded, thats the main reason why they close the entrance. On a busy day the longest you will wait on a ride will be atleat a half our or less. i recommend this park for every one!!!

Aquatica was a lot of fun! For people that are going to go: if you're gonna go on the Dolphin plunge, be prepared to wait for a long time! If you're staying till closing, I suggest you go on the dolphin plunge then, or else you'll have to wait a REALLY long time. Other than that, this water park is AWESOME!!

I would actually say that all of them are pretty fun to go to. If you are looking for a huge body slide-Blizzard Beach. if you are looking for something fresh and new- Aquatica. If you aren't looking for anything specific-Typhoon Lagoon. If you don't care and as long as you have fun-All.

I remember last time I was in Florida, the queues were horrendous.Understandable of course,but still a bit of a down side to your holiday if you're waiting around in queues for half of it. The writting in the sky happens atleast once every 2 weeks, lol. The pilot usually writes "U + God = :)" or "Jesus loves us". To tell you the truth he is really dedicated and all of us that live in Florida (around Orlando) know about it. I give him/her props.

i went there yesterday! and on every ride! lines are really long! but you have to get their at 8:30ish! or you cant get in. They usually close the park at 10 and re-open at 4. lines are shorter at lunch time! everything is great! so go there! :D

best waterpark ever. i would tell you that i was in line for 1 1/2 hours for dolphin plunge it popped my neck and the tube is dirty and you go by so fast u cant see the dolphins. All the lines are long id say maybe about a half hour for each ride depending when u go. The two family rides r fun. Don't listen to people the best waterpark and the life gaurds are great!!! the best ride is the bowl looking one and has one of the faster moving lines. Get their early and try to beat some of the crowd.

Aquatica was the worst park when I visited Orlando! The ride where you go through the dolphins is awful becuase the tube is all dirty and it so quick that you just don't see them! Also every ride has a queue of approximately one hour and we waited for 2 hours to get on the dolphin plunge slide. Also the family rides and the hoop ones have HUGE lines and they are not that good. The wave machine is awful, as each session only lasts about one minute.

Overall don't visit Aqautica! Blizzard beach has a better wave pool and if you want really fun slides go to Wet 'n' Wild! It has a great wave pool and loads of fantastic slides with small, manageable lines! It's great fun for all the family.

it was awsome! on weekends it can get pretty packed but the lines for the slides are no more than 20 minutes long. very well made and it was alot of fun! weekdays are better though much less people and be sure to get there before 10am if not they close the park due to over capacity

I live like 2 miles from this place, here's a tip for you visitors: Get there VERY EARLY, like 30 mins before the opening time! The place gets packed an hour after the gates open and you will be turned away until 3pm. Which does suck. But what sucks more, for us locals, is that all the angry, rejected tourists clog up I-Drive like a parking lot.

I went there this summer, it's overcrowded and super hot! You need to be there early in the morning or else you will wait until it opens back in the afternoon at 4 o'clock. You will fall in line for an hour just to experience the slide, and it'll take less than a minute to do it. The one on 1:08 to 1:12 is excellent for kids, it's a never-ending fun for them and it's a lot safer. above all, it's an experience the whole family will never forget!

this was by far the worst water park i have ever been to it was small with few rides and the pictures online where deciving and made the rides look better than they where dont waste your time or money go to adventure island in tampa or blizzard beach in orlando

well i have just returned from florida i visited aqutica and thought it was the biggest load of shit i have ever seen they have hyped it up so much that they dont live up to it i was verry disapointed with the under water slide as there was nothing to see and you were going too fast anyway take my advice and dont waste your time or money.stick with wet n wild

your a jackarse really. the dolphins are live animals, they move about freely in the tank, not held on a string to dangle in front of the tubes ya know, and FYI now a days the dolphins like to surf the tubes and follow people in the slide. trust me I see it everyday

Blizzard Beach is the number 2 water park in the world and is def the best water park that I've been to. I have yet to go to aquatica, but wet'n'wild dosn't compare to blizzard beach at all.

I've seen this water park but never been there. But I plan to someday. It reminded me of Rapids, water park in West Palm Beach, FL. I usually attend there once or twice yearly during the Summer time. It was pretty fun yet crowd.

I went there a few weeks ago, and it was almost empty!

I almost froze to death, but it was well worth it!

It is not a place to go to if you want extreme thrills, but it was still amazing.

I was a little dissapointed with Dolphin Plunge though, you couldn't see anything and it all happened so quick! And the joins in the slide grated your back as you slide down!

well as someone who literally went to disney every day (both my parents used to work there) I can say that you would most likely have more fun at disney. Get the park hopper passes that allow you to freely switch parks throught the day so that you can go to the park to ride just the rides that you want. Aquatica looks nice.....but OMG the lines are literally 5 hours long for anything! disney is much beter, I personally recomend the hollywood studious!

THIS WAS THE BEST THEME PARK EVER the only ride i was disappointed with was the dolphin plunge coz you go too quickly through it and it was hard to find chips :P OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS THE MOST FUN IVE EVER HAD I WENT ON EVERY INDIVIDUAL SLIDE LIKE !) loggerhead lane was probably the funest and easiest way to get around with its fast and slow currents.all the slides are fun and even better you can buy wristbands that let you have unlimited food whenever you want.

My family is on the left hand side 14 seconds in and the park is amazing. the dolphin ride isn't as you would imagine it to be since your going so fast you can't really see anything but everything else is amazing. take my word for I live like10 mins away and i've been there like 5 times!

i went to sea world, universal studios, daytona beach, and wonder works.
it was loads of fun.
on the way to daytona beach we passed a swamp and i saw a crocodile and we also passed Daytona 500 which is a racecar place.

Aquatica is a different park from Seaworld, although they're both under the same management. There's a pass you can get that allows you to enter both parks though.

Lucky, I live in Orlando so I can go anytime I want :D. And the tube were do gi thru the tank of dolphins was a major fail if you ask me, I waited 3 hours to ride it and it's only like a 10 sec ride and you go thru the tank at the last second... but, over all I love the park.

Nice but... Nothign can beat Typhonn lagoon for me. It just the whole tropic atmosphere. And those massive BUCKETS of ice cream, with cookies pieces, broken honeycomb, chocolte fudge sauce, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate Ice-cream covered in a layer of whipped cream with a cherry on top :D

I went at cristmas and it was totally dead!
so we went on all of the rides- nonstop!!!

The only (sadly) negative thing is that on the dolphin plunge- you dont see anything- because your going too fast!


The best thing there is DEFINATELY the MAT RACERS (or something like that) with the incredibly high drop!! I shit my pants -_- BUT LOVED IT!!!

A TOTAL PARADICE, DEFINATELY GO IF YOUR PLANNING TO GO TO ORLANDO!

If you guys get a chance please complain to the people who do the surveys at the end of the day The more they hear about it the more they will have to need to change the pavement!!!! no joke, ive been to aquatica twice and everytime i went it kept getting better and better! this water park is absolutely AMAZING! i loved every minute of being there and this summer im going with 4 of my friends for my birthday!

my fav ride there was the dolphin ride where u see the dolphins on the coaster and that lazy river without the tubes rapids something and the rainbow slides (thats wat i call them) was cool but scary lil when go down cuz it so steep it feels like ur gonna flip

the under water slide is my favorite ride and i went there last year and a kid got stuck ( by the way it was a fat kid so thats why) and they had to close it and i was waiting in line for like an hour at least

i whent like the second day it was opened and it was soooo fun there was alot of people so i rode the lazy river alot it goes fast for a lazy river and when u get near jets (there in the walls) it pulls the water down like a foot its so fast and if u stop infront of it and go under water it shoots u while ur underwater

no its not in busch gradens. BG is in Tampa and Aquatica is in Orlando. there is a great water park across the street from BG called Adventure Island. i live about 45 min from BG and visit frequently.

i didn't like this park too much. the rides are not worth a wait at all. and there all so short. and it's suposed to be famous for the dolphin plunge, you don't see any dolphin's going down and it hurts your back. mine and my sisters back was red afterwards.
